Well, in my 4th period class (Accounting) I usually get an excessive number of "Free Days" and/or free-time in class, so I'm often finding myself going to this website and just messing around, right? Well, today, when I tried to go to this website, I found out that the school had blocked it! But, little does the school, that every student here knows various backdoors to different websites that are mark "unfit" for us student to view (Myspace, various game websites, and now DeviantART) I can understand why they "Don't want us to be distracted by games and chatting, and how they want us to finish our homework" and what-not, but seriously? DeviantART blocked? Preventing students from viewing the creativity of the world? Is that not what the schools are aiming for? Excerising the creativity of us students? And yet, they're hypocrites for blocking the site with the most creativity you'll ever find on the web...And what really gets me is the "justification" they claim for blocking this website...Games...Are there any games on here, for if there are, please, by all means, let me know how to get to them, for I have yet to find any games on this website x.x My school also profiles students and claims that we have cliques...The other day, one student I know, that kind of hangs out with me and kind of doesn't, was sent to the office because a class had reeked of Marijuana, and he was the only "Gothic" kid in the class so they assumed it was him. And upon being questioned of it, he threatend the principle, "I'll even take a drug test if my word isn't good enough for you" The principle didn't take on his challenge, but he still believed that he had smoked the weed. And what's worse is that then the principle started asking about me and my other friends too! Just because we go against the norm (Neo-Gothic and proud!) we're always the "one's to blame" when something ends up stolen and what not. But we have a "hang-out" that we go to, that's about 300ft. away from the school, if even that, and the principle doesn't know where we're going, even though we are allowed to leave, and he's being nosy and starting to ask questions and accusing us of going to our (Formally referred to as "The Spot") Spot to smoke Marijuana and do various other drugs. I'll hone up to it, we go there to smoke some cigarettes (considering the torment we're given at school, you can see why we would) However, we have yet gone down there and smoked Marijuana or any other kind of drug (Excluding cigarettes) at The Spot, on or off of school hours. None of us does anything apart from cigarettes anyway. But we are constantly accused of being "Pot-heads" and what not. And that too, I'll admit, I have smoked Marijuana, but never during school hours, much less during the school week! Anytime I ever do smoke, it is on a weekend, and it is not that much that I actually do smoke. But I would NEVER (nor would my friends) come to school high off anything. And our school needs to learn to not be so untrusting of us. Yes, there is some truth to their accusations (we do smoke Marijuana SOMETIMES), but No, we don't smoke weed at The Spot. But obviously, we're going to have problems with the school, considering their Anti-Gothic Anything x.x I was threatend with various punishments by the principle for wearing eyeliner, when there was only 3 guys wearing eyeliner at my school (Me, my friend, and a new student who just wanted to see what it looked like) And I was accused of being a "bad influence on the new student" (even though, he did it of his OWN choice, I didn't even know that he was going to wear it!) The principle had also stated how "Our 'group' is 'spreading'" Letting us know exactly how he and every other faculty member feel about us being different...So, yeah, that's how gay my shcool is...
